Put your firm in front of the people who decide which short line, port, or transload projects get built next — read weekly by the operators, DOTs, and development agencies chasing federal and state rail funding.
Who reads it
Rail Funding Brief goes to people actively tracking rail funding deadlines and awards: short line and regional railroad staff, port and transload operators, state DOT rail offices, and economic development agencies. This isn’t a broad transportation-industry list — every subscriber opted in specifically for funding news, which is exactly the audience an engineering firm, equipment supplier, or project-finance advisor serving this market wants in front of them.
What we won't do
We don’t sell or share individual subscriber data with sponsors, and we don’t run sponsorships from grant consultants or application-writing services — that would compete directly with what our own platform offers subscribers, and this industry is small enough that the conflict would get noticed. Every sponsored placement is clearly labeled as such; the editorial content around it never is. That labeling discipline is the reason this list is worth reaching in the first place — we’d rather protect it than sell it out.
Placements
- Newsletter sponsor block — a short, clearly labeled placement in a regular weekly issue.
- Dedicated send — a standalone email to the full list about your firm, sent separately from a regular issue.
- Site placement — a placement on high-traffic pages like the deadline calendar or awards database, seen by visitors actively researching funding, not just subscribers.
- Sponsored analysis — a sponsor-supported article, clearly disclosed as such, on a topic relevant to your firm’s work.
Pricing
We’re early enough that we don’t have a published rate card yet — we’d rather quote real numbers once we have real send history to back them up than publish a figure we can’t stand behind. Founding sponsors get custom pricing and first right of refusal on future placements as the list grows.
